How to include a HEALTH RECORDS MANAGEMENT PRACTICE in your Pathology Prevention plans.
You Can’t Manage What You Don’t Measure!
As you measure and monitor your progression towards goal accomplishment, you keep records. These records form the bases for an evidence-based practice (EBP). The Health Guardian is somewhat of an accidental role, in that people typically don’t get this responsibility by going to school and getting a certificate. Your records become your credentials. The quality and condition of your records is correlated to how much credibility you'll receive when working with other health care professionals.
Holistic medicine and pathology prevention is not a private endeavor where the Health Guardian works in isolation from the rest of the health care professionals. The measurements and data captured in physical, nutrition, history, and exercise records among others are referred to by other primary care providers for diagnostics and analysis within a more complete evidence gathering effort.
