How to include PSYCHODYNAMIC THEORY in your Pathology Prevention plans.
When it comes to mental health, there are multiple theories, or perspectives that should be used by the Health Guardian to understand, prevent pathologies, and improve overall mental health leading to self-reliance, increasing wellness, and an abundant life. Each of these perspectives can be thought of as a probe used to penetrate the surface of a ball of clay, decerning the shape of an object at the center. Each perspective is a point of entry into the ball of clay, no one perspective can provide the Health Guardian with a clear understanding of our mental health. Together they provide a holistic view of our past, current, and potential mental health.
Freud’s psychoanalysis is both a theory and therapy. It is the original psychodynamic theory and inspired psychologists such as Jung and Erikson to develop their own psychodynamic theories. Freud’s work is vast, and he has contributed greatly to psychology as a discipline.
