The endocrine system produces hormones responsible for the signaling that coordinates and controls functions of our body’s organs and processes. Endocrine diseases fall into broad categories of hormone overproduction or underproduction, altered tissue response to hormones, or tumors arising from endocrine tissue.

Being inactive increases the risk of developing long term health problems such as heart disease, strokes, diabetes, cancer, dementia, depression – the list seems to get longer all the time. In fact, being inactive is rather risky behavior!

Exercise Is Medicine!

We must eat food to survive, and that’s because our bodies demand energy to carry out all of life’s biological processes. This energy comes from the nutrients we get from the digested food we eat. For the body to function optimally, our energy intake must match our output.

As a young boy, I was fascinated that the stars knew how to organize themselves into shapes like a Bull, the Twins, the Big Dipper, and the Great Bear. This must be evidence for the existence of God, at least I thought so at the time. How else could one explain it?
