Digestive System: Yarrow
Asteraceae (Aster Family), achillea millefolium, Yarrow. Common Yarrow, Western Yarrow, Yarrow, Milfoil
Yarrow is used for medicinal purposes to break a fever by increasing perspiration, to treat hemorrhaging and as a poultice for rashes. A tea used by Native Americans to cure stomach disorders was made by steeping the leaves.
Common yarrow is known in traditional medicine for its ability to stop bleeding, and indeed, it contains an alkaloid called achileine that enhances blood clotting.
Yarrow has long been used to treat digestive issues like ulcers and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), symptoms of which include stomach pain, diarrhea, bloating, and constipation. In fact, this herb contains several flavonoids and alkaloids, which are plant compounds known to relieve digestive complaints.
In a study in rats, a yarrow extract tonic protected against stomach acid damage and demonstrated anti-ulcer properties. Another animal study found that the flavonoid antioxidants in yarrow tea may fight digestive spasms, inflammation, and other IBS symptoms.
Other test-tube studies reveal that this extract may reduce liver inflammation — as well as fight fevers.
Yarrow has been observed to provide the digestive system with astringent properties, such as reversing diarrhea, and reduce any pathological mucus production. It triggers a sensory response in the mouth which gives rise to the digestive hormone gastrin.
Yarrow supports the liver, improves its function, and increases the flow of bile and acts as an overall tonic of the liver. It relieves, prevents, or lowers the incidence of muscle spasms especially of smooth muscles within the digestive tract. Infusions of Yarrow has been known to increase the production and elimination of urine. As a Gastroprotective, Yarrow protects the gastric system and helps prevent pathologies of the digestive system.
Endocrine System: Schisandra Berry

Its flowers and roots were commonly used in traditional Native American medicine, and today it’s a popular women’s health supplement claimed to help with menopause symptoms, fertility, and hormonal balance.
As a hypotensive, black cohosh lowers the blood pressure. It Reduces inflammation redness swelling and pain in the body allowing other herbal actions to address the cause.
It is the friend of the vascular system, it acts as a Vasodilator, Opening or dilating blood vessels, which reduces the heart’s workload. It strengthens and enlivens blood vessels that carry blood low in oxygen content back to the heart.
Black cohosh is a Cardioprotective, serving to protect the heart or coronary arteries from injury, disease, and malfunction. It’s also a Cardio Tonic and produces a favorable effect upon the action of the heart.
