THE NERVOUS SYSTEM STABILIZER®

The Nervous System Stabilizer® helps the body achieve a healthy state that is maintained by the constant adjustment of biochemical and physiological pathways supporting the interrelationships and interdependencies between organ functions. The Nervous System Stabilizer® promotes catalyzing actions, cleansing, functional repair and strengthen blood flow of the nervous organs, tissues, and cells within a holistic protocol of pathology prevention effort. Its biochemical mechanism of action is to prevent negative actions impacting the Nervous System, provide calming, and deadening sensations.

This is one of the PathologyPrevention’s 11 SYSTEM infusions, so it has a light-green background label. The specialized ORGAN infusions have a light-blue background on the label to help differentiate between the two. A single package of Nervous System Stabilizer® contains 33 teabags. These 33 teabags are vacuum sealed for your protection and the preservation of their herbal medical properties. This bag is resealable after opening and should keep the teabags fresh for 4 to 6 months after opening. The teabags are made with fine paper fibers that allow tea to steep quickly while keeping sediment and smaller tea leaves of the finer grade teas from escaping into the infusion. They are made in Germany from all-natural, unbleached paper with no chemicals or artificial ingredients to taint the flavor of the infusion. Environmentally sensitive, completely biodegradable and fully compostable.

PROTOCOL: We recommend including the Nervous System Stabilizer® as part of a broader (holistic) battery of infusions supporting all 11 of the body’s organ systems, one different system infusion each day, over a 11-day time period, then repeat. In this protocol, all 11 organ systems are incrementally maintained every 11 days. The infusions are designed to overlap, and synergistically support all of the organ system functions.

During times when a particular organ system needs more attention than general maintenance, additional specialized infusions for organ support such as the Bladder Regulator®, the Irritable Bowel Pacifier®, or the Vascular Strengthener® can be added to the protocol throughout the day depending on your current condition. Just remember not to exceed the four-bag limit per day.

DOSAGE: Each teabag is approximately 1 to 1.5 teaspoons of premeasured pharmaceutical grade herbs. Dried fruits and spices are added for flavoring. The teabag should be placed in 8 oz. of hot water, (about 180° F) and care should be taken to use water cooler than (220° F). Let this herbal infusion sit in water for at least 20 minutes, and preferably 45 minutes or longer. However, keep covered while steeping, and don’t let it sit for longer than 4 hours. If the infusion is too strong for your taste, feel free to dilute with additional warm or cool water, but drink all the liquid produced by the single teabag.

FLAVOR: This infusion has an aroma of green apples, you can taste the apples and raspberries while drinking, but leaves an aftertaste more creamy than fruity. Depending on your mood, emotions, and what you recently have eaten, you may experience something different each time you drink this infusion.

PLEASE BE SURE TO REVIEW 'SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS' TAB ABOVE

Remember this isn't your grandma's afternoon tea. It is a medicine, you don’t drink it because of the taste. The reason people don't see the results they want, is due to a lack of consistency. These are pharmaceutical grade infusions designed to make the highest impact on your health as safely as possible at a holistic level. The biochemical reactions, physical repair, and physiological capabilities take time to build. Give it the time needed, you'll be amazed at the results. Your health is being attacked from every front, more viciously than in other period in the history of mankind, you can have peace of mind. Enjoy that peace!

THE NERVOUS SYSTEM STABILIZER® INDICATIONS

The fundamental physical nature of herbal infusions is chemical, as is the fundamental physical nature of the human body. In the information that follows, it’s tempting to think about “active ingredients.” However, the effects of a plant can rarely be attributed to a single constituent. More often, effects are due to various ways in which a whole plant complex interacts with the human body. In pathology prevention the health provider is led to conclude, “the whole is more than the sum of the parts.” Often actions are synchronized in a symbiotic relationship and work together in a way that will benefit the body as a whole system.

The herbal remedies of the world vary in strength from potentially lethal poisons to gentle tonics that might be considered foods. This variation in the potency of pharmacological impact is chemically based and has a profound effect on the therapeutic selection of herbs for any individual. In pathology prevention we focus on the use of mild normalizers and gentle effectors and use strong effectors only if absolutely necessary. Normally our infusions require 3 to 6 months of daily use before the desired effect can be observed. This assures the confidence and safety required in pathology prevention. In fact, potent effectors are hardly used at all in our infusions. They are, however, the foundation of pharmacological medicine.

The activity of most infusions is more complex than a mere representation of the effects of an “active ingredient.” None the less, a review of active constituents can be illuminating and provide expectations for the personal or family Health  Guardian practicing pathology prevention.

This herbal infusion uses a blend of pharmaceutical grade herbs optimized to provide the Nervous System with the prominent medical actions indicated below at varying strengths and capabilities.

THE NERVOUS SYSTEM STABILIZER® SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS

Many of these safety considerations may seem to be in contradiction with each other. That’s because they are. Our infusions are designed to address many safety considerations with other pharmaceutical herbs (e.g. both raising and lowering blood sugar levels at the same time). The infusion is made further safe by managing the herbal quantities provided at any one time. Please follow our recommended dosage below and be confident and secure in your pathology prevention efforts.

Ingredients of this infusion consumed in quantities of three teaspoons (3 teabags) per day over a three to six-month period are GENERALLY CONSIDERED SAFE by the FDA under the G.R.A.S. provision. However, you might consider the following:

General Considerations This infusion may temporarily worsen symptoms because of the detoxifying action. When consumed by mouth in normal quantities this infusion does not cause serious side effects. But some people can experience stomach upset, nausea, dizziness, or diarrhea. Do not continue consuming this infusion if you experience any of these symptoms.

When consumed in extreme amounts (over ten teabags per day) for more than 4 weeks or in smaller amounts long-term, this infusion can cause side effects including high blood pressure, low potassium levels, weakness, and paralysis, in otherwise healthy people. Overuse and abuse of this infusion could make kidney disease worse. The infusion can lower a man's interest in sex and also worsen erectile dysfunction (ED) by lowering levels of a hormone called testosterone. Because of its oxalic acid content, an extreme overdose of this infusion might cause paralysis, breathing difficulty, and death.

So don't consume more than 10 bags of this infusion per day - ever!

Infants and Children Not for the use by anyone under twelve years old. This infusion has not been tested for the consumption by children or infants and is considered UNSAFE. If accidentally ingested contact medical authorities immediately.

Allergic Reactions This infusion may cause an allergic reaction in people who are sensitive to the Asteraceae plant families. Members of these families include ragweed, chrysanthemums, marigolds, daisies, and many others. This infusion might also cause an allergic reaction in people who are allergic to birch, celery, or wild carrot. This has been called the “celery-carrot-mugwort-spice syndrome.” This infusion might also cause an allergic reaction in people who are allergic to white mustard, honey, royal jelly, hazelnut, olive, latex, peach, kiwi, the Micronesian nut called Nangai, and other plants from the genus Artemisia, including sage. If you have allergies, be sure to test with a small quantity of the herbs contained within this infusion externally rubbed on your skin, followed by drinking a small amount of the diluted infusion. Only after these tests prove to be safe, should you consume normally. Check with your healthcare provider with any concerns.

This infusion contains significant amounts of salicylic acid. Salicylic acid is similar to aspirin. Avoid drinking large quantities if you are allergic to aspirin.

People with eczema seem to have a higher chance of having an allergic reaction, so be careful if you have eczema.

Pregnancy and Breast-feeding There is not enough reliable information about the safety of consuming this infusion if you are pregnant or breast feeding. It is LIKELY UNSAFE. There is a concern that it might cause early delivery or miscarriage. It might promote a menstrual period or stimulate the uterus, putting the pregnancy at risk.

Infertility There are some concerns that this infusion may interfere with conceiving a child. If you are trying to conceive, don't drink this infusion 24 hours before and after any effort, especially if you have known fertility problems. Some birth control pills contain estrogen. The body breaks down the estrogen in birth control pills to get rid of it. This infusion might increase the break down of estrogen. Drinking this infusion along with birth control pills might decrease the effectiveness of birth control pills. If you take birth control pills along with this infusion, use an additional form of birth control such as a condom. Some birth control pills include ethinyl estradiol and levonorgestrel (Triphasil), ethinyl estradiol and norethindrone (Ortho-Novum 1/35, Ortho-Novum 7/7/7), and others which are all known to be made less effective by our infusion.

Diabetes There is some concern that large amounts of this infusion might lower blood sugar. This might lower blood sugar levels too much in people with diabetes who are already taking medications to lower blood sugar. Watch for signs of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) and monitor your blood sugar carefully if you have diabetes and are consuming this infusion. Medications for diabetes (Antidiabetes drugs) interact with this infusion so be cautious. Dosing adjustments to diabetes medications might be necessary. Talk with your healthcare provider about any concerns you may have.

Bleeding Disorder This infusion contains a chemical called berberine. Berberine might slow blood clotting and increase the risk of bleeding. In theory, it might make bleeding disorders worse. Taking this infusion along with medications that also slow clotting might increase the chances of bruising and bleeding. Some medications that slow blood clotting include aspirin, clopidogrel (Plavix), diclofenac (Voltaren, Cataflam, others), ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin, others), naproxen (Anaprox, Naprosyn, others), dalteparin (Fragmin), enoxaparin (Lovenox), heparin, warfarin (Coumadin), and others.

Leukemia This infusion might worsen this condition. If you have leukemia, talk with your healthcare provider before consuming this infusion.

Liver disease There is some concern that drinking this infusion might harm the liver. In theory, it might make liver diseases, such as hepatitis, worse. People with liver disease or a history of liver disease should use caution and talk with your healthcare provider about any concerns you may have.

Seizures Drinking this infusion might increase the potential of a seizure in some people. Don't take the infusion if you have a history of having seizures.

Stomach or Intestinal Problems This infusion can be harmful to people with stomach or intestinal problems. Inflammation of the stomach lining (Atrophic gastritis) may be affected. This infusion might increase how much vitamin B12 the body absorbs for people with atrophic gastritis. People with intestinal problems or a history of intestinal disease should use caution and talk with your healthcare provider about any concerns you may have.

Parkinson's Disease This infusion consumed in large quantities might make Parkinson's disease worse. If you have this condition, talk with your healthcare provider about drinking this infusion.

Alzheimer's Disease There is concern that large doses of this infusion might contribute to dementia in people with Alzheimer's disease.

Bipolar Disorder People with bipolar disorder cycle between depression and mania, a state marked by excessive physical activity and impulsive behavior. Large amounts of this infusion can bring on mania in these individuals and can also speed up the cycling between depression and mania.

Heart disease Don’t self-medicate with this infusion if you have heart disease. It is UNSAFE to use unless you are under close medical supervision.

Blood Pressure This infusion can theoretically both raise and lower your blood pressure. This may increase the risk of blood pressure dropping too low in people prone to low blood pressure and too high in people prone to high blood pressure. This infusion might interfere with control of these conditions. Large amounts of this infusion might lower levels of potassium, making any existing potassium deficits worse. There is a concern that the infusion might make the body accumulate more sodium, and this can make high blood pressure worse. Don't consume large amounts of the infusion without monitoring your blood pressure. Medications for high blood pressure (Antihypertensive drugs) interacts with this infusion, so be cautious. Dosing adjustments to diabetes medications might be necessary. Talk with your healthcare provider about any concerns you may have.

Surgery This infusion might increase the risk of bleeding during and after surgery. It may also cause too much drowsiness if combined with medications used during and after surgery. Stop consuming it at least 2 weeks before a scheduled surgery.

POTENTIAL INTERACTIONS

No side effects or drug interactions have been reported concerning this infusion. However, you might consider the following:

Alcohol Interaction - Be cautious with this combination. Alcohol can cause sleepiness and drowsiness. Our infusion may also cause sleepiness and drowsiness. Consuming large amounts of the infusion along with alcohol might cause too much sleepiness. Talk with your healthcare provider.

Drinking this infusion along with sedative medications might cause too much sleepiness. Some of these sedative medications include clonazepam (Klonopin), diazepam (Valium), lorazepam (Ativan), and others.

Narcotic Drugs Interactions - The body breaks down some medications for pain to get rid of them. This infusion might decrease how fast the body gets rid of some medications for pain. By decreasing how fast the body gets rid of some medications for pain, this infusion might increase the effects and side effects of some medications for pain. Some medications for pain include meperidine (Demerol), hydrocodone, morphine, OxyContin, and many others.

Depression – This infusion may potentiate symptoms of depression. Drinking large amounts of this infusion can make you unable to drive or operate machinery safely. This infusion may also bring on mania, a state marked by excessive physical activity and impulsive behavior. Do not drink and drive for the first time, not knowing the infusion’s effects on you. "Driving-under-the-influence" citations have been issued to people driving erratically after drinking large amounts.

Liver Processing Interaction – By design, some medications are changed and broken down by the liver. This infusion might affect how quickly the liver breaks down these medications. Consuming this infusion along with some medications that are broken down by the liver can increase the effects and side effects of some medications. Some medications that are changed by the liver include acetaminophen, amitriptyline (Elavil), atorvastatin (Lipitor), diazepam (Valium), digoxin, entacapone (Comtan), estrogen, haloperidol (Haldol), irinotecan (Camptosar), lamotrigine (Lamictal), lorazepam (Ativan), lovastatin (Mevacor), meprobamate, morphine, ondansetron (Zofran), propranolol (Inderal), theophylline (Theo-Dur, others), verapamil (Calan, Isoptin, others), oxazepam (Serax), and others.

Digoxin (Lanoxin) interactions - Digoxin (Lanoxin) helps the heart beat more strongly. This infusion also seems to affect the heart. Taking the infusion along with digoxin might increase the effects of digoxin and increase the risk of side effects. Do not consume this infusion if you are taking digoxin (Lanoxin) without talking to your healthcare professional.

Antihypertensive Drugs Interactions - This infusion may decrease blood pressure. Drinking it along with medications for high blood pressure might cause your blood pressure to go too low. Some medications for high blood pressure include captopril (Capoten), enalapril (Vasotec), losartan (Cozaar), valsartan (Diovan), diltiazem (Cardizem), Amlodipine (Norvasc), hydrochlorothiazide (HydroDiuril), furosemide (Lasix), and many others.

Other Medications – This infusion may delay absorption of other medications taken at the same time. If you take any medication regularly, talk to your health provider before you start drinking this infusion. It could affect the way antibiotics, diabetes drugs, blood thinners, heart medicines, and others work.

Hormone-sensitive Interactions – This infusion might act like estrogen in the body. If you have any condition such as breast cancer, uterine cancer, ovarian cancer, endometriosis, or uterine fibroids, that might be made worse by exposure to estrogen, don't drink this infusion without talking it over with a healthcare provider. Hypertonia Interactions – This infusion in large amounts might cause the level of your potassium to drop in the blood. This can make hypertonia worse. Monitor and review your status with your healthcare provider frequently.

Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) - There is some concern that large amounts of this infusion might worsen symptoms of ADHD, especially in people taking the medication methylphenidate for ADHD. Until more is known, this infusion should only be taken in small amounts of 1-2 teabags a day.

Alprazolam (Xanax) Interactions - Alprazolam (Xanax) is commonly used for anxiety. The body breaks down alprazolam (Xanax) to get rid of it. This infusion should increase how fast the body gets rid of alprazolam (Xanax). Taking the infusion along with alprazolam (Xanax) might decrease the effectiveness of alprazolam (Xanax).

Photosensitizing Drug Interactions - Some medications can increase sensitivity to sunlight. This infusion might also increase your sensitivity to sunlight. Drinking this infusion along with medications that increase sensitivity to sunlight could increase the chances of sunburn, blistering or rashes on areas of skin exposed to sunlight. I have been under a great deal of stress because of a heart condition that has recently become a part of my life.
I tried the nervous System stabilizer before bed each night.
My nervous system was damaged from chemo. I thought it would be interesting to try this tea.
My favorite thing about it is the flavor. I think it is absolutely delicious. It has a very smooth, calming or velvety flavor.
I especially like that it’s caffeine free. I cannot have caffeine because it makes the muscles around my eyes twitch and makes my heart race.
I would definitely purchase it. It is yummy.

I was given the opportunity to try the Nervous System Stabilizer® from Pathology Prevention. I chose this particular herbal infusion for a couple of reasons. I really, REALLY don’t like herbal teas. The smell and taste of them can sometimes make me nauseous. After reading the descriptions of the options available the Nervous System Stabilizer® appeared to have ingredients that I would be able to stomach more easily. I also did some searching for more information about the nervous system to make sure that I could personally benefit from the product.

I drank the herbal infusion as directed each day. I only skipped two days from the time I began (one night I arrived home too late to make and drink it and another night because I went to bed early in extreme pain from a pinched nerve in my neck).
I chose to drink Nervous System Stabilizer® in the evening due to the inclusion of California Poppy, Hops, German Chamomile and Valerian; all of which can promote rest and reduce sleepiness. At times falling asleep can be difficult for me as my mind has a hard time slowing down. I can say that during the time I used this herbal infusion I did not need to use any melatonin or additional sleep aids to assist me in falling asleep.

I also experienced another added benefit that I did not anticipate. I have a tendency to get snacky late at night, which is not generally a healthy habit. However, after drinking my Nervous System Stabilizer® I no longer experienced any cravings or desired additional snacks. I found that most of the time I would eat an apple, drink my herbal infusion and be ready to call it a night, resulting in a much healthier nightly routine.
I will say that though I never came to “like” the taste of Nervous System Stabilizer® I did come to accept it more easily such that it was not as difficult for me to drink each night as time wore on. This for me is saying a lot! :)

I also have a history of severe headaches and migraines. During the course of using Nervous System Stabilizer® I did not experience any severe headaches or migraines. I do not know if that is a result of the herbal infusion, or a result of my monthly injections but I do think it is worth noting as they did not become worse during this time and may have even been prevented.
