THE CARDIOVASCULAR SYSTEM REVITALIZER®

The Cardiovascular System Revitalizer® helps the body achieve a healthy state that is maintained by the constant adjustment of biochemical and physiological pathways supporting the interrelationships and interdependencies between organ functions. The Cardiovascular System Revitalizer® promotes blood flow, catalyzing and calming actions throughout the cardiovascular organs, tissues, and cells during a holistic protocol of pathology prevention effort. This is one of the PathologyPrevention’s SYSTEM infusions, so it has a light-green background label. The specialized ORGAN infusions have a light-blue background on the label to help differentiate the two.

A single package of the Cardiovascular System Revitalizer® contains 33 teabags. These 33 teabags are vacuum sealed for your protection and the preservation of their herbal medical properties. This bag is resealable after opening and should keep the teabags fresh for 4 to 6 months after opening. The teabags are made with fine paper fibers that allow tea to steep quickly while keeping sediment and smaller tea leaves of the finer grade teas from escaping into the infusion. They are made in Germany from all-natural, unbleached paper with no chemicals or artificial ingredients to taint the flavor of the infusion. Environmentally sensitive, completely biodegradable and fully compostable.

PROTOCOL: We recommend including the Cardiovascular System Revitalizer® as part of a broader (holistic) battery of infusions supporting all 11 of the body’s organ systems, one different system infusion each day, over a 11-day time period, then repeat. In this protocol, all 11 organ systems are incrementally maintained every 11 days. The infusions are designed to overlap, and synergistically support all of the organ system functions.

During times when a particular organ system needs more attention than general maintenance, additional specialized infusions for organ support such as the heart’s muscles, or the vascular system separately, can be added to the protocol throughout the day. You can also consider other infusions outside of the cardiovascular system product suite as well, such as the lung and nerve infusions of the Respiratory and Nervous systems depending on your current condition. Just remember not to exceed the four-bag limit per day.

DOSAGE: Each teabag is approximately 1 to 1.5 teaspoons of premeasured pharmaceutical grade herbs. Dried fruits and spices are added for flavoring. The teabag should be placed in 8 oz. of hot water, (about 180° F) and care should be taken to use water cooler than (220° F). Let this herbal infusion sit in water for at least 20 minutes, and preferably 45 minutes or longer. However, keep covered while steeping, and don’t let it sit for longer than 4 hours. If the infusion is too strong for your taste, feel free to dilute with additional warm or cool water, but drink all the liquid produced by the single teabag.

FLAVOR: This infusion has a strong spicy aroma that screams “wake up”, and delivers a completely different set of spice tastes while drinking, all to end up with a lasting sweet aftertaste. Depending on your mood, emotions, and what you recently have eaten, you may experience something different each time you drink this infusion.

THE CARDIOVASCULAR SYSTEM REVITALIZER® INDICATIONS

The fundamental physical nature of herbal infusions is chemical, as is the fundamental physical nature of the human body. In the information that follows, it’s tempting to think about “active ingredients.” However, the effects of a plant can rarely be attributed to a single constituent. More often, effects are due to various ways in which a whole plant complex interacts with the human body. In pathology prevention the healthcare provider is led to conclude, “the whole is more than the sum of the parts.” Often actions are synchronized in a symbiotic relationship and work together in a way that will benefit the body as a whole system.

The herbal remedies of the world vary in strength from potentially lethal poisons to gentle tonics that might be considered foods. This variation in the potency of pharmacological impact is chemically based and has a profound effect on the therapeutic selection of herbs for any individual. In pathology prevention we focus on the use of mild normalizers and gentle effectors and use strong effectors only if absolutely necessary. Normally our infusions require 3 to 6 months of daily use before the desired effect can be observed. This assures the confidence and safety required in pathology prevention. In fact, potent effectors are hardly used at all in our infusions. They are, however, the foundation of pharmacological medicine.

The activity of most infusions is more complex than a mere representation of the effects of an “active ingredient.” None the less, a review of active constituents can be illuminating and provide general expectations for the personal or family Health Guardian practicing pathology prevention.

THE CARDIOVASCULAR SYSTEM REVITALIZER® SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS

Many of these safety considerations may seem to be in contradiction of each other. That’s because they are. Our infusions are designed to address many safety considerations with other pharmaceutical herbs (e.g. both raising and lowering blood sugar levels at the same time). The infusion is made further safe by managing the herbal quantities provided at any one time. Please follow our recommended dosage below and be confident and secure in your pathology prevention efforts.

Ingredients of this infusion consumed in quantities of three teaspoons (3 teabags) per day over a three to six-month period are GENERALLY CONSIDERED SAFE by the FDA under the G.R.A.S. provision. However, you might consider the following:

General Considerations This infusion may temporarily worsen symptoms because of the detoxifying action. When consumed by mouth in normal quantities this infusion does not cause serious side effects. But some people can experience stomach upset, nausea, dizziness, or diarrhea. Do not continue consuming this infusion if you experience any of these symptoms.

When consumed in extreme amounts (over ten teabags per day) for more than 4 weeks or in smaller amounts long-term, this infusion can cause side effects including high blood pressure, low potassium levels, weakness, and paralysis, in otherwise healthy people. Overuse and abuse of this infusion could make kidney disease worse. The infusion can lower a man's interest in sex and also worsen erectile dysfunction (ED) by lowering levels of a hormone called testosterone.

So don't consume more than 10 bags of this infusion per day - ever!

Infants and Children Not for the use by anyone under twelve years old. This infusion has not been tested for the consumption by children or infants and is considered UNSAFE. If accidentally ingested contact medical authorities immediately.

Allergic Reactions This infusion may cause an allergic reaction in people who are sensitive to the Asteraceae plant families. Members of these families include ragweed, chrysanthemums, marigolds, daisies, and many others. If you have allergies, be sure to test with a small quantity of the herbs contained within this infusion externally rubbed on your skin, followed by drinking a small amount of the diluted infusion. Only after these tests prove to be safe, should you consume normally. Check with your healthcare provider with any concerns. This infusion contains significant amounts of salicylic acid. Salicylic acid is similar to aspirin. Avoid drinking large quantities if you are allergic to aspirin.

People with eczema seem to have a higher chance of having an allergic reaction, so be careful if you have eczema.

Pregnancy and Breast-feeding There is not enough reliable information about the safety of consuming this infusion if you are pregnant or breast feeding. It is LIKELY UNSAFE. There is a concern that it might cause early delivery or miscarriage. It might promote a menstrual period or stimulate the uterus, putting the pregnancy at risk. Discuss the use of this infusion with your healthcare provider if you are trying to get pregnant.

Blood Pressure This infusion can theoretically lower your blood pressure and increase the risk of blood pressure dropping too low in people prone to low blood pressure or with pre-existing low blood pressure. It may also increase, or cause a spike in your blood pressure with people who have pre-existing high blood pressure. Some medications for male sexual dysfunction can also decrease blood pressure. Using this infusion along with medications for male sexual dysfunction might cause your blood pressure to go too low. Using this infusion with medications that also increase blood flow to the heart might increase the chance of dizziness and lightheadedness. Don't consume large amounts of the infusion without monitoring your blood pressure.

Bleeding Disorders This infusion contains chemicals such as berberine and Rugosin E, these might slow blood clotting and increase the risk of bleeding, the risk of bruising and bleeding in people with bleeding disorders. In theory, it might make bleeding disorders worse.

Seizures There is a concern that this infusion might stimulate seizures or interact with other medications taken to prevent seizures. If you have ever had a seizure, or if your taking medications that increase the chance of having a seizure, don't consume this infusion.

Anemia Deficiency of the enzyme glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD): This infusion might cause anemia in people who have G6PD enzyme deficiency. Until more is known, use cautiously or avoid the infusion if you have G6PD deficiency.

Diabetes Some evidence suggests that consuming this infusion might lower blood sugar levels. This might lower blood sugar levels too much in people with diabetes who are already taking medications to lower blood sugar. Watch for signs of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) and monitor your blood sugar carefully if you have diabetes and are consuming this infusion. Dosing adjustments to diabetes medications might be necessary.

Thyroid Disease This infusion may interfere with the action of thyroid hormones. Don't consume this infusion without considering the concern that it may change thyroid function, reduce thyroid hormone levels, and interfere with thyroid hormone-replacement therapy. This infusion might act like estrogen in the body. However, other research shows that it reduces the effects of estrogen in some hormone-sensitive cancer cells. Therefore, this infusion might have beneficial effects on hormone-sensitive conditions. Until more is known, use cautiously if you have a condition that might be made worse by exposure to estrogen ‘like’ hormones.

Surgery This infusion might increase the risk of bleeding during and after surgery. It may also cause too much drowsiness if combined with medications used during and after surgery. This infusion may slow down the central nervous system. Anesthesia and other medications used during surgery also affect the central nervous system. The combined effects might be harmful. Stop consuming it at least 2 weeks before a scheduled surgery.

POTENTIAL  INTERACTIONS No side effects or drug interactions have been reported concerning this infusion. However, you might consider the following:

Alcohol Interaction - Be cautious with this combination. Talk with your healthcare provider. Alcohol can cause sleepiness and drowsiness. Our infusion may also cause sleepiness and drowsiness. Consuming large amounts of the infusion along with alcohol might cause too much sleepiness.

Cocaine Interaction - Cocaine has many dangerous side effects. Using this infusion along with cocaine might increase the side effects of cocaine including heart attack and death. Theophylline Interaction - This infusion can increase how much theophylline the body can absorb. Consuming this infusion along with theophylline might increase the effects and side effects of theophylline.

Liver Processing Interaction - By design, some medications are changed and broken down by the liver. This infusion might affect how quickly the liver breaks down these medications. Consuming this infusion along with some medications that are broken down by the liver can increase the effects and side effects of some medications. Some medications that are changed by the liver include acetaminophen, amitriptyline (Elavil), atorvastatin (Lipitor), diazepam (Valium), digoxin, entacapone (Comtan), estrogen, haloperidol (Haldol), irinotecan (Camptosar), lamotrigine (Lamictal), lorazepam (Ativan), lovastatin (Mevacor), meprobamate, morphine, ondansetron (Zofran), propranolol (Inderal), theophylline (Theo-Dur, others), verapamil (Calan, Isoptin, others), oxazepam (Serax), and others.

Kidney Stones - This infusion contains a small amount of a chemical called oxalate. Since kidney stones are made primarily from oxalate combined with calcium, healthcare providers worry that this might increase the risk of kidney stones. In theory, this might increase the risk for complications in people with kidney problems.

Antibiotic Interaction - This infusion might decrease how much antibiotic the body absorbs. Consuming it along with antibiotics might decrease the effectiveness of some antibiotics. Some antibiotics that might interact with this infusion include azithromycin, ciprofloxacin (Cipro), clarithromycin, enoxacin (Penetrex), demeclocycline (Declomycin), erythromycin , minocycline (Minocin), norfloxacin (Chibroxin, Noroxin), sparfloxacin (Zagam), tetracycline (Achromycin), trovafloxacin (Trovan), and grepafloxacin (Raxar).

Lithium Interaction -This infusion might have an effect like a water pill or "diuretic." Consuming it might decrease how well the body gets rid of lithium. This could increase how much lithium is in the body and result in serious side effects. Talk with your healthcare provider before using this product if you are taking lithium. Your lithium dose might need to be changed.

Ventricular Tachycardia - Don’t consume this infusion if you have this heart condition. Medications for Depression - This infusion might impact the effectiveness of your depression medication. Talk with your healthcare provider before using this product if you are taking antidepressants. Your dose might need to be changed.

Medications for HIV/AIDS - This infusion might impact the effectiveness of your medication. Talk with your healthcare provider before using this product if you are taking medications for HIV or AIDS. Your dose might need to be changed.

Heart Disease - This infusion may interact with many prescription drugs used to treat heart diseases. If you have a heart condition, consult your healthcare provider before using this infusion. This infusion is UNSAFE to use unless you are under close medical supervision.

Potassium Interactions - Don’t use this infusion if you are potassium deficient. The infusion contains chemicals called cardiac glycosides that can cause the body to lose potassium. This could make potassium deficiency worse. Some medications for inflammation can decrease potassium in the body. Some medications used for inflammation include dexamethasone (Decadron), hydrocortisone (Cortef), methylprednisolone (Medrol), prednisone (Deltasone), and others. If your potassium level gets low enough, it can harm the heart. Low potassium levels can also increase the risk of side effects from this infusion.

Water Pill Interactions - This infusion contains significant amounts of potassium. Some "water pills" can also increase potassium levels in the body. Taking some "water pills" along with this infusion might cause too much potassium to be in the body. Some "water pills" that increase potassium in the body include amiloride (Midamor), spironolactone (Aldactone), and triamterene (Dyrenium).

This infusion may also reduce significant amounts of potassium. Low potassium levels can also affect the heart and increase the risk of side effects from the infusion. Some "water pills" that can deplete potassium include chlorothiazide (Diuril), chlorthalidone (Thalitone), furosemide (Lasix), hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ, HydroDiuril, Microzide), and others.

Calcium Supplements  - This infusion can stimulate the heart. Calcium might also affect the heart. Using the infusion along with calcium might cause the heart to be too stimulated. Use care when consuming this infusion along with calcium supplements.

Digoxin (Lanoxin) Interactions - Digoxin (Lanoxin) helps the heart beat more strongly. Our Infusion also seems to affect the heart. Using this infusion along with digoxin can increase the effects of digoxin and increase the risk of side effects. Do not use this infusion if you are taking digoxin (Lanoxin) without talking to your healthcare professional.

Quinine Interactions - Quinine and this infusion can affect the heart. Taking quinine along with the infusion might cause serious heart problems at large doses.

Stimulant Laxatives Interactions - Stimulate laxatives can affect the heart. The heart uses potassium. Laxatives called stimulant laxatives can decrease potassium levels in the body. Low potassium levels can increase the chance of side effects from this infusion. Some stimulant laxatives include bisacodyl (Correctol, Dulcolax), cascara, castor oil (Purge), senna (Senokot), and others.

Acetaminophen Interactions - Acetaminophen (Tylenol, others) interacts with this infusion. Drinking this infusion before taking acetaminophen might increase how fast your body gets rid of acetaminophen. But more information is needed to know if this is a big concern.

CAUTION: Be sure to follow relevant directions on product labels, indications, and safety consideration product tabs. Consult your pharmacist, herbalist, or other healthcare professional before consuming.
